Guest guest
Okay, guys, it's a rotten day here - all cold and window and threatening to rain. And I know that some of you in the northeast are having a terrible time of it Let us know how you're doing with those dreadful storms! Meanwhile, some of us who are luckier are finding excuses to stay close to hearth and home and find great things to make in the kitchen. What's happening in your kitchen today? Something special? Cooking ahead? Warming up something already made? Inventing a new dish? Enjoying Take-Out? Whatever it is, let us know Love, Pat
Guest guest
I try to cook something a little special on Sundays that I can eat for leftovers during the week. So today, even though I am at work, I am eating baby potatoes, parsnips, and asparagus with a bit of fat-free ranch dressing. I have some raw veggies, yogurt, and an apple for afternoon snacks (actually one was a morning snack, but I was too busy and didn't get around to it. A little bit of roasted soynut trail mix and raw almonds if I need something crunchy/salty. And my water, of course. Guest guest
I'm going to try a new recipe with potatoes and kidney beans, seasoned with sesame seeds and a tiny amount of sesame oil and hot chilies. Sounds kind of weird, though. I plan to do a cabbage 'stir-fry' (lite on the oil) as a side dish. Guest guest
Well, not much exciting happening in our kitchen tonight I must admit. Don't even know what we're having yet! That being said, this evening we're getting our produce delivery and going grocery shopping to finalize the recipes for the rest of the week. Guest guest
Today is my birthday - I'll probably be making some vegan low-fat cupcakes! Not sure what's up with dinner... Guest guest
In spite of the nor'easter and 8 inchs of snow we got here, I made a nice springy dish last night; lemon-y asparagus, green peas and chickpeas with onions, garlic and fresh thyme, served over wilted turnip greens. Really good and really simple...took like 10 minutes to throw together. ~Rachael , " Pat " <drpatsant wrote: > > Okay, guys, it's a rotten day here - all cold and window and threatening to rain.
