I am 38 years old and I merchandise as my part time job. I volunteer at my daughter's school. I enjoy cross stitch ,cooking and reading. Well enough about me. I hope to learn more about you all. Guest guest
Hi there, Liz, and welcome to our group! We hope you enjoy it. We have lots of nice recipes here in our Files and if you don't see what you want, you can always ask. You say you are no longer vegetarian. Are you hoping to get back on the vegetarian track again? We will be glad to help you and give advice if we can. If not, then of course that's your choice and there are indeed other people here who are not vegetarian but want to eat more vegetables or to find a way to prepare them in a non-fattening way. (All recipes and chat, though, is veggie on this group.) There are also a number of quick and easy recipes which you will run across as you browse - that sometimes helps when others in the household have different eating patterns Enjoy the group. Guest guest
Hi Liz ~ Are you hoping to go back to being a vegetarian or just looking for some great recipes and ideas in our group? Either way, welcome! :-) As Pat mentioned, just remember we don't discuss any meat related topics or recipes here. Feel free to ask us questions or share any favorite slimming vegetarian recipes you have! Cindi, co-owner with Pat liz damon <ranliz524 wrote: Hi everyone. My name is Liz and I live in PA. Guest guest
Hi Pat. Actually some people would still consider me a vegetarian in some form. I don't eat chicken, pork or meat. I only eat salmon and a few other fish. Myself I don't consider myself vegetarian anymore and probably won't go back anytime real soon. The only reasons I'm eating salmon is due to health concerns. In fact some people on this board might get mad at me but the only reason I was veg was due to health concerns not environment or compassion. Sorry if I offended anyone, I don't mean to. I do need to lose weight and I do want to eat healthier. I do believe in the Mediterranean diet and am trying to follow that more closely. Well I gotta go pick my daughter up from school. Have a good weekend everyone! Liz Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Check outnew cars at Autos.
Guest guest
Hi again, Liz I don't think anyone here will get annoyed at you for being concerned about your health - that's a good thing to be! And if you don't want to return to vegetarianism, for whatever reason, no one here will criticize you. It's just good to know because if you WERE trying to return to the vegetarian way we might have made different suggestions As Cindi has pointed out, the main thing which we ask of our non-veg members is that they don't discuss the eating of me*t (and for us that includes f*sh, etc.) at all on this list - and that they show respect for the vegetarian and vegan principles and practices. But there are lots of others like you, as I've already reassured you! You're MOST welcome here. And I'm sure that you'll find lots of nice ideas which could help you to improve your health. If you're stuck for recipes, just give a shout - okay? And be sure to post to let us know how you're gettina along. Nice to hear from you!
