I'm hungry!!!

I need some help especially from the older people...I have been a

vegetarian for about 3 and a half years now but it feels like the

older I get, the hungrier and the more and more I want to snack!!! Any

tips on how to get rid of all the munchies? I do eat meals I'm just

always snacking on stuff...especially cereal and peanut butter and

jelly sandwiches. Thanks.

Find healthier snacks! :-) Like fruit, baby carrots, etc. Also, eat something

with protein every few hours if you're not currently doing that. It will help

sustain you. A bit of tofu, some nuts, etc. Or you could pick up some

pre-packaged 100 calories or less snack paks (but fresh is always better for you

than processed food!)

Yea, cereal can be pretty tasty. What types of cereal are you eating? There

are ones that are better than others; ones that have a lot of fiber and/or

protein. I eat Vanilla Nut Rainforest Crunch by Peace Cereal usually. It's got

oats and flakes and nuts and is slightly sweet due to the vanilla. I normally

only have cereal once or twice a week at the most. But it sure is tasty, you're

right about that! :-)

 

Yes, please do keep us updated on your process. Did you join this group

looking to lose weight or just eat better?

If it's the dry crunch you like (<raising hand>),

then you can combine the cereal craving with the

protein recommendation by switching to soy nuts:

I used to really like that one, but since going

Oh I love soy nut but they are kind of fattening...

I have 2 favorite brands of cereal which are Honey Bunches of Oats and Kashi

Strawberry Fields which are both healthy, just addicting. haha. Oh I have cereal

every day for breakfast and sometimes for dinner or lunch too.

I joined this group because it seemed like a great group. I didn't join to lose

weight because I am very happy with my weight, but I would love to eat a little

healthier.

Well we are a great group! :-)

My partner likes that Strawberry Fields cereal a lot too.

Eating healthier is a great reason to have joined.

Simple :) You just go to our group Home Page (which is where you would have

joined

the group) and look to the left-hand menu. The _third_ cagegory down is FILES -

so click

in there. You will see that RECIPES is the first folder at the top of the list,

but there are

other folders too which might interest you.

 

That menu also gives you Photos, Links and Polls. Have a look around and enjoy!
