Guest guest
Hello, My name is Kathy. I live in Lubbock, Texas and have since 1994. I'm a single parent of three young children and two adult children. I have a set of twins- a boy and a girl. I work full time. I'm trying to get a home based candle business started and will be aggressively putting some time in that. I am currently not a vegetarian but want to be . I just need to learn how to cook with different spices to give a good taste to everything I make. My kids are more apt to eat vegetarian if I made it with taste. Our church is known for the vegetarian POTLUCKS . I love it! I love life and appreciate good health and would like to remain in good health as long as possible. Guest guest
Hi there Kathy Nice to have you here. And how good that you are thinking of becoming vegetarian. There are lots of good reasons for it, of course, but it will also make a big improvement to the health of your children in years to come - provided, of course, that you/they follow a healthy vegetarian diet. (There are lots of bad ways to eat vegetarian - including veggie junk food.) It will be especially nice if you have friends who are also veggie and can give you support, as you seem to have Yes, I agree, it helps to persuade children if the food tastes good. Many of our recipes are exceptionally spicy (hence the name of the group!), but you can always tone it down a bit for them. The trick is to include those vegetables that children enjoy and will eat rather than what I think of as 'grown-up' vegetables that kids have to grow into liking with the years and their changing tastebuds. If you need idea, please let us know. Meanwhile, browse the Files section on our Homepage and you should come up with all sorts of ideas. Let us know how you're doing - okay? (Just remember, though, that we don't discuss eating me*t here LOL) Best, Pat (Group Owner) ---- Dr Patricia M. It has done wonders for me since I have cut out toxic foods. I have had RA (rheumatoid Arthritis for years, but have been able to cut down dramitically the amount of NSAIDS prescribed. --Lee ---- kathy pate <yankeerose3465 wrote: > Hello, > My name is Kathy. Guest guest
Hi Kathy and welcome! Good luck getting your candle business going! Ah yes, spices and herbs can make ALL the difference in dishes. Some of my favorites are thyme, sage, cilantro, cumin, garlic, majoram, and rosemary. We have lots of yummy recipes in our files section that are chock full of flavor or if there are certain items you are looking to spice up, let us know!
