Guest guest
I have never used a pressure cooker, but I do find that my microwave steamer cooks vegetables just right, and it was under 10 pounds when I bought it 5 years ago. Guest guest
Hello Jean, and thanks for response. I have a Microwave, Sharp Companies big enough for 26 # turkey we bought in about 1973 or 4 and love it, but none of my glass bowls have lids so have to use plastic wrap to cover and hold the steam in. I've read several articles recently that the water that drops down onto the food using plastics is thought to be toxic. Since those who have RA seem to be really sensitive to toxic's, thought to try a change and see what happens. We will try just about anything to try to beat this problem, no matter how ridiculous . :-S I love the way the veggies cook in the MW, in the plastic zip-lock type bowls but wish there was more absolute proof of the safety of the plastic wrap. There is also a lot of controversies as to the effects of microwave cooking. Any body have thoughts on this? ...or perhaps I am off topic, if so, sorry. just delete this. I just want a safe way to cook my low fat vegetable and fruit meals. Guest guest
Can you put a plate over the glass bowls? I just throw a " corelle " plate over top to cook . . . Guest guest
The steam always condenses and drips down all over the rotisserie...... and I don't have good sense and seem to be obsessed with doing everything the hard way <G> LOL!!! You have all helped me to realize the pressure cooker idea may be a bit over board. :-$ Thanks. --Lee ---- pdw <pdworkman wrote: > Can you put a plate over the glass bowls?
