Guest guest
What is this all about? I am afraid that I do hate animal rights groups and the awful things they do, and belive that some animals were put on the earth for human consuption, I just make a choice not always to eat them, I am not a strict vegitarian, and do eat chicken. With this growing population It is a shame that some animals have to live in awfull conditions, but the way animal rights actvists seem to deal with it is not good. Jean. Guest guest
I like this group and I don¹t want this to escalate into an argument, but that post was inappropriate for a vegetarian group. Jean, I¹m sure you¹re a lovely person, and I would never presume to say that meat eaters are awful or I hate them. Please don¹t lump all animal rights people together because of the extremists. You¹ll note the post did say the chickens have been LEGALLY liberated. Guest guest
With respect, Jean, this is not really a very understanding message for this vegetarian group. Let me answer your post in this way: Many people are vegetarian because they care about animals, and your stigmitization of 'animal rights groups' is not very flattering to us (whether or not we belong to such groups). If you read the post which has upset you, you wil see that it was clear that the chickens have been offered to the Brighton group *legally*, not requiring any of the kinds of 'activism' which upsets you as a non-vegetarian. It is not, IMNSHO, an 'awful' thing that this Brighton group should have negotiated that that some animals (in this case chickens) should be legally adopted into caring environments. I can understand that you, as a non-vegetarian (viz your message below), may not agree with everything that is said on this list. Few people can say that of any group But please understand that vegetarian posts are not sent to upset you. They are part and parcel of the vegetarian lifestyle. Generally, we confine ourselves to discussions about methods of Slimming - but we deviate in various directions from time to time. That all adds interest to our group. Have patience! Have a wonderful New Year. Guest guest
Sorry hon - your post hadn't come through when I was responding to Jean's message You say it far more gracefully than I. Thank you. Love and hugs, Pat --- Coop <rodstruelove wrote: > I like this group and I don¹t want this to > escalate into an argument, but > that post was inappropriate for a vegetarian > group. Guest guest
Hi Jean Well you seem to be a hateful person and that is sad for you. I am a member of animal rights group(s) and they are some of the best people I have ever met, just wonderful and they do so much work for animal welfare which few in the world seem to want to bother with You need to become better educated about animal rights groups and what they do before you speak like that again. Your comments were extremely offensive but I excuse your lashing out as harmless anger Vida , Jean Archer <jean2k3k wrote: > > What is this all about? > I am afraid that I do hate animal rights > groups and the awful things they do, > and belive that some animals were put on the earth for human consuption, I just make a choice not always to eat them, > I am not a strict vegitarian, and do eat > chicken.
