Im getting my own chickens!!

I have a lovely big garden and this year the veggy patch will be ready

to start growing lots of lovely vegetables! and we are now thinking of

getting a few chickens to get some nice free range eggs!! Im really

excited!

A couple of years ago I was watching this special about farming without

insecticides. These two houses " share " a couple of chickens between them and

alternated having them " graze " in their vegetable gardens. They said that the

chickens kept the gardens bug-free.

Chickens are sweet birds. If you interact with them regularly, they

can be quite friendly. I've even met a few chickens that were

downright huggable.

Oh yes do.. fresh eggs from your own chickens are wonderful.I used to

have chickens when I owned my own place.
