Guest guest
There's been some discussion of the matter (gluten free matzo, etc.) on gfcf-recipes lately. One of the very active members there, Brenda Lee, is Jewish, and so are a few others. Brenda Lee is also on . So I would join one of those two lists to ask the question. I have been learning a little bit about passover and seder and so on, but not being Jewish myself, I hesitate to suggest anything in case it breaks another rule. There are a good number of sites that you get if you google " gluten free passover " or " gluten free matzo " , but it depends on which set of rules you follow, too. Guest guest
I'm not familiar with the traditional Passover menu, so don't know what we're trying to replace. However, it's worth taking a look at this online shop. Lots of things there you might not otherwise think could be made gluten-free. http://www.zenpawn.com/recommends/glutenfree Hope this helps, -Erin My gluten-free, lowfat cookbook: http://www.vegandonelight.com - Pat Sunday, March 30, 2008 9:49 AM Rice, Wheat and Legume-free Passover Recipes Wanted Here's a challenge for members: Alizah wrote - > I have a friend who is > gluten intolerent. allergic to milk, very few > options for her...she also is sensitive to > beans etc..and with Pesach coming is realling > going to have problems. Guest guest
By all means, do join other groups that can help - of course! But please don't take that as an invitation to leave Vegetarian Slimming. Although we are not a religious group (and ask that members do not post religious messages, as it happens), we do appreciate that certain times of the year occasion different food preparation rules for many many people and we are always pleased to help if we can. There are Jewish members here I know - please help if you are able to. (I didn't want to direct my challenge only to members who are Jewish, however - for obvious reasons,) Love and hugs to all, Pat > There's been some discussion of the matter > (gluten free matzo, etc.) > on gfcf-recipes lately. Guest guest
Sorry, I was just offering an additional resource, not trying to drive anyone away! Of course not <hug> And I was backing you up - for some reason I hadn't thought of those groups. But since I'm a co-owner of this group it might have looked to some as if I were saying 'Don't ask these questions here' - and I WASN'T - no way LOL The more resources we have, the better we all are. I am a member of several other vegetarian and vegan groups besides this one - not counting those I own. I depend on them when I need help of all different kinds! Huge hugs and thanks for helping out with those suggestions!
