Guest guest
Congrats on the weight loss! Way to go! Cindi It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others. For breakfast I have things like Jenny cereal, pancakes and boca sausage, french toast, oatmeal bar. I get an afternoon snack that can be fruit and yogart or a Jenny anytime bar. Lunch I have a big salad, Jenny baked potato with brocoli and cheese or cheesy enchalada. There are vege pizzas as well but I love the two I listed. Before dinner fruit. Dinner I have a big salad and either the penne pasta, mac and cheese, lasagna, pizza, and there are some other choices. They have the yummyest deserts I love the double chocolate cake (its only 150 calories!)The down side is I feel like I am eating alot of pasta but I am loseing weight and learning portion control! I hope that gives you a better idea of the program. Guest guest
dear friends sorry for indulging can you stop eating Pasta and also stuff made of fine floors. Avoid packed foods. You can make foods at home. It does not take a lot of time. The only difficulty would be to pick up vegetables from the market I can guide you to quick meal fixes which are fresh and to UR taste.... I tend to agree with you about the packaged foods and the refined white flour, since I avoid these myself. I do find, however, that pasta - especially those made from wholewheat, brown rice, quinoa, or kamut - are healthy and have ease of preparation. On many 'diets' (however you want to define that) pasta of _any_ kind is approved, even pasta from white flour, because the way it is cooked and eaten places it lower on the glycaemic index, meaning it is satisfying for longer because it doesn't spike the blood sugar and make us think we are hungry. The use of pasta/noodles, to many cultures, is what rice is to (also) many cultures Some prefer one, some the other. (Sorry, all you potato lovers out there, I haven't forgotten you! LOL) > You can make foods at home. U cook and U eat Oh yes, please, that is always a good idea on this group We would love to have you post your vegetarian recipes that you have tried yourself and found good - remembering, of course, the low-fat theme of this group and that we are looking for low-calorie recipes. Thanks for writing in - but you don't need permission to post recipes here. We absolutely LOVE new recipes! Guest guest
I agree. I need those quick and easy recipes as a working mom. I hate having my daughter entertained by my mil or t.v. while I prepare dinner, but I can't do much with one hand holding her. Thanks, Cassie Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
