Hello and welcome to the group, Em :) The Eat2Live plan is very good, isn't it?

The pounds just dropped off - for me, anyway. And then it was pretty easy to

adjust it nicely so that I didn't just keep losing and getting thinner than I

should be. If I have a problem (three or more pounds on from too much eating out

- or in LOL), I just go on the diet as it is recommended and it goes off again.

I know what you mean about sticking to it, though. It is so tempting to slip

into old habits of eating - too much grain does it for me :( I find that if I

make up a huge platter of cruditee in the morning and then, at lunchtime, sit

down and seriously munch my way through them along with some lovely salad

greens, then I don't want to eat much else - a few beans, maybe, as recommended,

but you can save those for the evening meal (bean soup?). Right now, however,

I'm doing a nearly raw version of the plan - a bit tricky, but . . .

Enjoy the group and post often. And good luck with the weight loss.

Best, Pat

I have never heard of the Eat to live plan before. What does it entail?

Thanks,

It's about 50% raw veggies, 50% cooked, plus beans

and limited grains. Low'ish in fat (no oils and

such, but nuts and avocados). You can read more

about it and the good doctor here:

Hmmm sounds pretty easy. Since getting braces put on it has been harder for me

to eat the raw veggies. But there are tender raw veggies out there. I just

need to be more adventerous.

Hi Pat,

yes when I stick with it it is easy as pie! :-)

The raw plan sounds good.

I have been dabbling with that too-and plan on having many more

rawfoods as summer comes.

Hi Sarah,

Erin answered very well.

I have 4 kids that I feel needsome of the good oils even though they

do have the good fats-so we use olive and grapessed oil but not

anywhwere near what we usedto-and I make mine seperately
