Guest guest
Okay last week was TOTM and therefore weight was all over the show, this week I should be back to normal (heh - well what classes for normal at any rate!), so this is a good chance for 3 weeks solid weight loss! Height - 5' 6.5 " Weight - 301 pounds(still high but getting there) Bust - 47 " (wowzers!) Waist - 41.5 " Hips - 55 " (aaargh!!) BMI - 47.8, 0.4 of a BMI point down in total! Another inch off! Hmm wonder how much weight floor washing by hand burns off? The Dragon
Guest guest
Well you're holding tight to that last weight loss, so good for you. You should show some sign of loss this week though For myself, well, I confess to dining out twice (and no matter how careful one is there are always more calories and fat in other people's food, esp. restaurant food, than in one's own) and going for drinks a couple of times too (don't even ask!), so not so good this week. But I'm down half a pound from last week, and I hope to do better this week The thing to do when your totm approaches is to avoid salt. Actually, cutting it way down all of the time is a good idea anyway, since we don't need much in our bodies and it does tend to do rather awkward things such as removing the calcium we want etc. Just a suggestion. I hope so too - I really plan to stick with it this week (and it is nice and warm and sunny here so loads of salad - yum!!!) > > For myself, well, I confess to dining out twice (and no matter how careful one is there are always more calories and fat in other people's food, esp. restaurant food, than in one's own) and going for drinks a couple of times too (don't even ask!), so not so good this week. Guest guest
I had a pretty bad week. I was doing well, but then this fructose intolerance thing screwed up my diet. Cutting way back on fruits, which I was eating to beat the band, resulted in constipation, which of course adds pounds to the scale because I've still got an extra day or two or three of food left in the intestines taking its own sweet time. And of course a bunch of the fruit I cut out was replaced by bread/pasta while I tried to put together a list of " safe " fruits and veggies and get my shopping done. Then add on top of that I had to make an extra run to the health food store Saturday to pick up some pop for my boys (sweetened with cane juice rather than corn syrup) and ended up buying treats there too, which had to be consumed all at once. ;-) I had salads for supper, but they were all dressed one way or another. Sunday was Mother's Day, so I had very little control over what I was allowed to eat. Breakfast was not too bad, eggs and toast with pb, good high protein to get me through to mid-afternoon when we would be home from church. Had an orange at church when my blood sugar dropped again. Forgot my glucose tablets at home. Hubby made waffles for dinner, hash browns, veg chicken, I had pineapple and soy yogurt on my waffles. Yes, syrup too, but I tried to limit it. Water to drink in spite of the fact that hubby really wanted us to have more pop. Later in the evening DS served me ice cream with chocolate sauce. Thankfully not too much. Anyway, the upshot of the matter is that I'm about 7 lbs heavier this Monday than I was last. I'm hoping most of that is the constipation, and I'm trying to eat lots of veggies, lots of water, and trying to avoid sugar as much as possible! Breakfast this morning was egg whites omelet and left over hash browns (no oil, no ketchup), and a couple of prunes; morning snack was raw carrots and celery; cooked veggies for lunch; and I've got some homemade trail mix and some pineapple and soy yogurt for a mid-afternoon protein boost, and oranges for the commute home. There is more celery and marinated salad (FF) in the fridge here. Oh, and DS and I did go for an hour-long walk last night. We probably won't get to our usual swim tonight, since DS had pretty bad diarrhea this morning (too many oranges!) But maybe he'll be okay by then. Probably taco salad for supper tonight (terra chips, beans, salad veggies, homemade dressing, a bit of soy cheese). Then an evening snack (treat) with hubby in the evening. Hopefully if I am pretty careful about the sugary snacks and potato chips over the next few days, and eat lots of fiber, my weight will drop down again a bit! Guest guest
Dragon, This was posted by Donna originally in the Vegetarian_groups . I used my food proccessor to make it smooth and it tastes like a mooshed up eggplant parmesan. I also suggest cooling it in the fridge once it is all mixed up. It makes it easier to shape. Sarah B. These are good on top of spaghetti, rice or with spaghetti sauce making a delicious meatball sandwich.. " Eggplant Non-Meatballs " 1 lg. eggplant (I leave skin on) chopped into chunks 1 garlic clove minced 1/2 onion chopped 2 eggs beaten 1/3 cup parmesan cheese 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1 cup breadcrumbs salt & pepper to taste Saute eggplant, onions and garlic in tablspn. oilve oil and a scant 1/4 cup water until tender. Remove from heat and chop into fine pieces. When eggplant mixture had cooled mix in other ingredients, if mixture isn't firm enough to form balls add a little more breadcrumbs. Preheat oven to 375-400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil and add a generous amount of oil olive to coat foil. Form 2 inch balls and place on pan about 1 inch apart. Bake until golden brown about 40 minutes, turning balls every 15 minutes.
