I hear you about the evening eating ‹ that¹s my problem too. I do very well

during the day, but after dinner I tend to want more, and peanut butter and

all-fruit jam on toast is my weakness.

There are other food log sites you can use try

http://www.thedailyplate.com/

I find FitDay easy to use though, and I don¹t bother with entering every

single ingredient every day what a pain that would be. Instead I figure

out the meals I most commonly eat and use an excel document ‹ or the recipe

calculator at Spark People which is so easy to use ‹ to come up with the

nutritional data for the meal, and then divide by individual servings. Then

I just enter the custom meals on FitDay.

For instance, instead of entering the individual ingredients for my

breakfast (1 cup oatmeal, 1 banana, 3/4 cup apple juice, 25 blueberries, and

1 teaspoon cinnamon) I just work out what the nutritionals are once and then

create a FitDay entry called ³Oatmeal² and put the stats in for the whole

meal.

Or if I make a vegan sausage pizza roll using a tortilla, some pizza sauce,

one home made vegan Italian sausage, and slices of onion and green pepper,

then I just figure out the nutritional data for that one time and make an

entry called ³Sausage Pizza² with those stats. Once you¹ve got the foods

you most commonly eat in there, you can just pick one breakfast, one lunch,

and one dinner (and maybe a couple of snacks) and your whole day is

calculated easily.

Thanks, Anna,

sound advice. I'll give Fitday another chance.

BTW I note your email is rodstrulove. Now is that a homage / wish for

Rod Stewart? If so I could tell you things...

LOL, not exactly. My husband¹s name is Rod. But I like Rod Stewart, so I¹d

still be interested to hear your stories.

I have noticed lately that my evening munchies seems to be tapering

off following an " Eat to Live " (Fuhrman) type diet, though I am not

entirely strict. If I start wanting sweets in the evening, I know I

probably need more water or greens, and may make a green smoothie.

But I am finding that even when my hubby is frying eggs or something

like that, I don't feel like I need to be snacking in the evening.

One note on Weightwatchers: You don't have to go to meetings. I've been

doing WeightWatchers online for a couple of years now, and have never

stepped foot in a meeting. It doesn't work for everyone, but I like it that

way.
