Guest guest
I don't know about the pigs, but there is the possibility that it was some sort of fishy flavouring from seaweed that got translated into fish, I seem to remember hearing that as a possible explanation, also it would have been a lot harder to be veggie then anyway. I think if we're going to discuss the views of the Catholic church, surely we have to start with the Nicene Creed, which is their mission statement ('scuse pun). In that, Jesus is described as " The Lord, the Giver of Life...of one being with the Father " , and the Holy Ghost is " proceeding from the Father and the Son " while Mary is not mentioned except very briefly as the mother of Jesus, almost as though she is a tool by which Jesus was brought forth into the world. I think it's fair to say that the Catholic Church places Jesus quite a bit higher than Mary. BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
