Guest guest
Surely if you care then to know they die should be enough . I didn't know how they were raised till after I stopped eating them I was brought up and told I would die if I didn't eat animals . Just because we are told things doesn't mean it is true and eventually we realise that you can't trust every one . People lie for many reasons Ignorance is one of course . I will not defend other people they can defend themselves but I will admit that I didn't have the guts to stop eating animals at age 7 and waited till I was 18 . I should have had the courage of my convictions and done something sooner. I was a killing machine up to that point . I'm not afraid to admit to my failings. If people admitted to what they are doing there( imo) would be less animal suffering I still believe most people make excuses and don't "see " what the consequence of their actions are . I certainly won't defend these people I prefer to defend the animals they are killing and eating Don't we all judge others ? If I do a demo and show my objection to something then I'm judging those who are against what I am fighting for nikki_mackovitch [nikkimack] 22 August 2002 12:25 Subject: Re: Do meat eaters care for animals as much as us?Angie,Easy now. I never said I didn't know they died. I said I didn't know the whole story behind their raising, their demise, their processing etc etc.I was raised as eating meat etc was just the way it was. Never stopped to think about it. Unfortunately, this is the accepted practice in our human society. We are taught from early on you need meat, poultry, milk etc to sustain yer life. Some of us have found the truth and have chosen to follow what is in my opinion the correct path. Some know the truth and do not care and some do not know nor realize anything at all.To group every individual into one frame of mind is unfair in my opinion. To assume every individual is a cold-blooded killing machine is unfair to me as well. I needed not to face up to anything and do not know how you could possibly think you would know me or anyone else that well to make that assumption. Unless of course this was your past where you yourself did not care until you became a vegan. If so, please do not force your issues upon me. Not my story at all!And please learn not to judge others until you know them and can make a fair and unbiased decision. It's not fair nor right, again in my opinion.Hey, just another opinion from another individual. Tis all! :)nikki, "Angie Wright" <angiewright@n...> wrote:> Lets not pretend that they don't know that an animal died We all knew> that only the mentally handicapped /ill have got that excuse . people> pretend not to know because they don't want to face up to it .. > > Then there are those who don't give a damn --at least they are being> honest !> > Angie> To send an email to -
