where do you reside??

buy organic...

certain markets here in the colonies will label whether a veggie er fruit has

wax on it er not..i'm assuming this wot you mean??

lac resin??

there are several types of waxes used here in the states...

petroleum based and vegetable wax are the most common..used to " protect " the

fruit from drying out, and making it shine...

organic fruits and such here in california won't have waxes applied to them

cheers

I live near Dallas. Whole Foods implied that they were attempting to

label what organic fruits and vegetables had been wased, and if so,

with what. I found some tomatoes that still had soil on them so of

course they were not waxed.

Our local whole foods, as well as berkeley bowl, clearly label wot has been

waxed, wot hasn't, wot is organic, and where things originally come from

guess we are lucky!!!

you can generaly tell anyways if something has been waxed...just run yer

thumbnail along it, and if you pull up waxy residue, guess wot!!!

of course, this won't tell you whether it is vegetable wax, petroeum based, or

shellac..but...who wants any of it anyways, correct??

cheers

cow " ?!!!

something like 70,000 beetles have to be ground up to make one pound of this dye

which is in everything from food to lipstick
