Guest guest
Hi all! Looking to roast or pan toast some pumpkin seeds. There is one in the files section that looks pretty good involving Ranch dressing mix. I'm not sure If I'm going to do it plain or flavored (I think the store bought ones are fantastic), but I was wondering what to do with the seeds and the goop. If I'm going to carve out the sucker but not roast those seeds that day, can I just put all the bits in the refrigerator until I'm ready to detangle and clean (yes, sorry, odd question)? Any other pumpkin recipes/ideas that you all have top secret and hidden that we can have a peek at!?!?! Shawn
Guest guest
i would be interested in hearing other's ideas and tips for how to separate the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkin goop in the quickest and easiest manner. What a messy business that is! The results are yummy... but still. *lol* Also, i made a recipe this week that called for only one cup of pumpkin, and i have some leftover to use up. i would estimate about 2 cups tops. Any ideas for using this up before it goes funky in my fridge? Guest guest
There's tons of things you can do - easiest is warm the pumpkin and add a bit of butter, salt & pepper. Or you can make fresh pumpkin pie (I made four of them last weekend), or something new (also from last weekend) pumpkin bread pudding (made with croissants rather than heavy french bread) with Hard Sauce...then there's also pumpkin soup! Guest guest
i peel my pumpkin (not big on wasting it on jack o'lanterns), cube it, toss lightly or spray with olive oil, and bake lightly on a tray. serve it up and watch it disappear fast. maybe there are better ways, but i scoop out the seed mix into a plastic colender and scrub it around with hands and/or brush and light running water. seems to work okay. , " matrixenos " <matrixenos@h...> wrote: > > Hi all!
