I saw this advertised on 's main listserv page around Thanksgiving, and thought it would be helpful to find recipes that other people have tried and liked. I thought it would be helpful, especially when I have to cook for company, like on the holidays. I was also happy to see such a large number of members. I call myself a vegan, but cheat once in a while, when it comes to the coffee machine at work, or when the bosses order pizzas for us. Usually I cheat on baked goods/desserts that other people make. I live in north-eastern Illinois and am involved with some secular and church- based animal organizations.
