Guest guest
I have never heard of the blood type theory? (I am O+) Is this one of those theories like birth order?
Guest guest
Based on enzymes usually present with specific blood types. There are those with exceptional enzymes for their blood types. So it is based on polulation probabilities. If you are an exception and don't fit the profile you can sign up for private blood testing. http://www.dadamo.com/ It is an extension of a book by the author's father " One Man's Food..... " by James D'Adamo The basic is trying to get a handle on which foods lead to optimal health for a particular individual. Most nutritional studies are done for a population as a whole but living by the results may make a specific individual very sick -- for example milk for those who are lactose intolerant -- because individuals lacking that enzyme are a small part of the population. Guest guest
i have read the books on blood typing influence on the food one should eat. there is good information in the books. i find that eating the foods suggested as 'good' for my blood type and avoiding the food suggested as 'avoid' makes sense for me. i am type A- so a no meat diet is best. the book is a good read that i do recommend. a couple of years ago i was with Eric Marcos and Howard Lyman at a meeting. i had just read the books so i asked them what they thought of the theory. Howard said he was O+ , but had read and was ignoring their theories. Howard has been a vegan for ten years. BTW, i am a Zen Buddhist. many of us are veg*n. Dalai Lhama leads the Tibetan Buddhists many of whom seem to rationalize eating some meat in spite of the precept against killing. that precept is widely considered to apply the critters of all kinds. be well, Ross 0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0less Bush, more trees0o00oo00o0o0o0o0 The difficult place that the U.S. is in can not be diminished by waging more wars. The violence done in our name generates more violence and hatred against us. The solution arises from changing our attitudes about other people. We need to stop the theft of their resources and labor and begin to treat others with respect and dignity. RossCannon

Nice to meet another Zen friend! >Dalai Lhama >leads the Tibetan Buddhists many of whom seem to rationalize >eating some meat in spite of the precept against killing. Right. Well one place it comes from is what we were talking about before which is the begging bowl. One was begging and thus theoretically the idea was that you would eat other people's trash they were going to toss out anyway. (Freegan, so to speak, if you've ever met any.) Unfortunately this morphed into the " well if I didn't kill it or it wasn't killed for me personally, it's okay. As for the Dalai Lama, he had a very bad experience with vegetarianism when he first tried it and developed jaundice. He was told by someone that he was to only eat nuts and milk, which is not balanced at all. So...now he's trying again...and the every other day thing is a good way for a lot of people to ease into the diet and grow confident in it. Also, now being in Dharmsala instead of Tibet, it's a lot easier. I'm Zen, as I said, not Tibetan, but I still think he's a pretty neat guy. Guest guest
'Not sure about blood type's revelance to diet, however, in Asia especially, one's blood type supposedly tells much(all, some would forward) about a person's temperment, etcetera. Business alliances, friendships, romance, all may be molded by one's blood-type(or, more accurately, how others regard one's type)....
