Guest guest
Welcome Flexetarian:) (That's what a friend used to describe my eating habits a while back - it means you phase in and out of vegetarianism - now I'm veg to stay and working towards vegan). My household is also split on the meat issue, so what I've learned to do is prepare meals for them with their main dish and vegan sides, and prepare my own main dish aside - that way I am still eating with them, but with only one substitute. It works well for us:) I hate tvp so I usually go with doing something with some sort of beans and/or grains instead. I love taco nights - they get their meat filling, I get my black beans, and we share the veggie toppings:) btw - I STILL want my pony TOO!!! (I've been asking for one all my life! I want a paint - what about you? Debra , Seattlejo <seattlejo@g...> wrote: > I'm actually not a veg currently. I'm a former and reoccuring > vegetarian. When I lived in Texas, my father's second wife went through this phase. The horse ended up being a big dog - feed, walk, clean up the poo. Guest guest
> Phase?????? This is a life-long pursuit!!! LOL!!! For me and my faimily, the whole Texas farmette was a phase. We lived there during such an impressionable time in my life that I would only buy a place with a yard if it came with a gardener. After mowing 7 acres for 4 years, I'd rather live in a condo! (I can and have grown veggies on the balcony.) Amy
