So much talk of healthy vegetarian motivations.

Just wondering... Do any of us smoke cigarettes?

I've been vegetarian for 36 years; a no-smoker for

almost 17.

Smoked when I was young and foolish and a ballet dancer...people

used to be floored how many of us dancers smoked, they thought we

would treat our bodies as temples...little did they know what we put

them through. If I knew then...

Anyway - could always stop and start - got smarter with age & then

thought of having a family & quit cold turkey. So for at least 11

years I haven't smoked. Wouldn't even consider it now for many

reasons...my health, now I do think more of my body as a temple, my

kids...I've got two with asthma, but even without it, smoking is so

bad for kids. By the way, my dad was a very heavy smoker - think

that made smoking so much more identifiable for me when younger.

I just quit about 6 months ago. It's nice being smoke free, but I do

miss it sometimes. =)

I SMOKE ABOUT A HALF A PACK A DAY. SOME TIMES I'LL GIVE IT UP FOR 3

TO 9 MONTHS AND THEN START BACK UP. IT IS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS IN

LIFE I REALLY ENJOY. BUT, IT IS BAD FOR ME. :(

I've never been a smoker:) ...although my Dad had me take a drag off

a cigarette when I was about three years old - I thought I was going

to die - but have never picked them up since:)

Dear,

I congratulate you to be vegetarian and aso for leaving smoking. You some times

feel abot smoking, for this you may develop some creative hobby. Creating some

thing like painting, reading and writing or some craft will help you. Your pen

friendship can be useful. You may visit my website and enjoy, www.artistman.net

Thank you for your support. I am mostly into needlework and the like,

suck as cross stitch and crochet. Not very talented at either, but I

have a lot of fun with them. I guess that's what counts. I also make

soap, and am hoping to sell them someday.

I really enjoyed your website, and bookmarked it. Are you the one

that does the protraits? I liked them very much. They are very

lifelike. =)

I have always been too cheap (part of my Veg. motive too - I have to

admit.) in High school, I'd rather buy a soda & candy bar.... Now

everything else needs my money!
