Guest guest
OMG!!! thank you!! I am new by the way and I am so glad I found this group!! Hello to all. I feel the same way. I am battling cigarettes yes, that I have to do without, but being a vegetarian is opening up doors for me, and I don't feel deprived in any way, I feel like there is so much more!! Blessings, Maria/Chanda - Judy Saturday, December 04, 2004 4:09 PM Re: hello- from newbie Maybe it's just me, but I dislike the approach that vegetarianism is 'doing without' or 'substituting'. One is very prone to feeling deprived or self-righteous. That doesn't make a pleasant meal-time. , Jiraph Wirpel <wirpel> wrote: > > > > PETA: Vegetarian Starter Kit : Eat right for your > health, the animals, and the Earth. > http://www.vegetarianstarterkit.com/ > > > > > hi, > > > > i would like to introduce myself to the board. my > > name is marie, i > > recently found out that i have high blood /or > > prehypertension plus > > already had high cholesterol. i'm in my late 30's, > > single, no kids > > but dating a man who is 41 and is having health > > conditions( high > > blood, asthma, black-outs, gets over-eated) yet he > > still eats alot of > > junk food but no pork. > > > > i had a good thanksgiving but will wait til after > > the holidays to go > > full veggie after new years. i hope learn and gain > > alot of positive > > ideas and tips from this group . > > > > > > i mostly read mail from the internet and will post > > when i can since > > i'm so busy during the week. > > > > have a good and safe weekend. > > > ===== > " The cat did not respond.
