Fish is meat - it has a face, veins, organs, muscle, etc - the only

difference in fish and land animals is how they get around. As to

what that is called, the term is " pesce. " Some vegetarians do

occasionally eat fish - they would be pesce-vegetarians, which has

nothing to do with being lacto(milk) and/or ovo(egg) preferential. I

for one am vegan - no meat, meat derivatives or byproducts, no dairy,

cheese or eggs.

Go Deb!! I'm working toward total veganism myself. Hmmm...maybe it would help

if I spent some time consulting my bunnies..

Actually some of them don't even like carrots, but I've never met a bunny who

wasn't crazy for fennel, although I myself have never eaten it and don't know

any recipes for it. Anyone have one (this is the vegetable, not the herb.)

Fennel can be just steamed and eaten as is. It is very good served

with any rice dish. It can also be sauteed in butter.
