How about a nice bread stuffing baked in acorn squashes? Or the Nut &

Lentil loaf someone posted to the list?

Quorn roast? However I think it is not vegan just

ova-lacto. Thought I should note in case you're

vegan. If this is wrong, sorry.

Also there are some excellent portobello recipes

out there which I think you could use as a main

dish. I tried coating a portobello with egg, milk

bread crumbs, seasoning and frying it once and it

came out quite tasty. My wife, an omnivore,

even liked it and she's not a big portobello fan.

I should add on my fried portobello suggestion,

first I fried it to brown the breadcrumb/egg/milk

coating, then I spooned out as much of

the oil as possible and added a little water,

covered it and let it simmer until tender.

this is what I am thinking, how bout buffaloto? I thought of it but haven't

tried it yet.

I am gonna let the tofu dry a bit on top to make it harder (x-tra firm) and cut

it in strips, and use the shake and bake buffalo wing stuff. If I find that it

has any animal products I will then use hotsauce and butter, and then bake for a

while, then dip in bluecheese like buffalo wings. I won't know by Friday though,

I am gonna try it next week.

Blessings,

Maria/Chanda

Mmm...I often make vegan buffalo wings with my own special recipe and

seitan. If anyone wants the recipe, I'll be happy to post it. It's Scott's

very favorite!

Hmm...I already mentioned my family's stuffed shells tradition...what about

a nice stew. I love the " beef " stew recipe in Vegan Vittles. Serve with a

salad and fresh bread...pie for desert?
