Guest guest
Okay! It's really very easy: 1/2 c. corn syrup 1/2 c. ketchup 1/4 c. cider vinegar 1/4 c. vegan worchestershire sauce (there are several brands out there) 1/4 c dijon mustard 2 tbsp dried onion bits 3 cloves garlic 1 tbsp chili powder 1 lb seitan, cut into chunks In a saucepan, combine everything but the seitan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 15-20 min or until thickened. Turn off heat and add seitan. Pour onto a cookie sheet. Bake until carmelized and sticky. Serve with toothpicks for picking them up. YUM! Veronica At 04:56 PM 12/22/2004 -0600, you wrote: >Ooooo - I LOVE seitan!!! Guest guest
Ooo..thanks for this one...looks yummy! Do you think it would work with one of those fake chicken products, you know like veat or one of the others? Can't wait to try it! m
Guest guest
I would think so. The seitan was just cheaper. Guest guest
I have seen people wear a t-shirt with the words " Hail Seitan " ... hehe. I like seitan besides various grain and soy burgers but am happy with rice and lentils. Last year, my Texas family were excited by my vegan gravy on their veggies and mashed potatoes [and none were vegetarians]. It worked well along with the rolls, yams, corn, potatoes, rice, cranberry sauce, etc. Cheers, DS Diamond Dog <diamonddog@g...> wrote: > I would think so.
