Guest guest
What kind of taste it? I've heard it has a taste that takes getting used to. But it is indeed an excellent form of B vitamins. I could never stand marmite or promite - I think the vast majority of australians have never even tried this product. But there's not a person in the country who hasn't eaten Vegemite at some point in their life, and for most of us, it's a reasonably regular part of our diet Toasted cheese and vegemite is the greatest ) Regards Louise South Australia aussie_bullbreeds/ http://health.depressionsupport_friends/ http://www.edba.org.au

I grew up having to eat vegemite and cheese sandwiches nearly everyday at primary school... And it is the one spread that i will get a craving for now and again... Most those I know have tried promite and / or marmite at some stage, over here in West Australia anyway... Personally i can't stand either of them myself... - Athena >What kind of taste it? I've heard it has a taste that takes getting used to. It has a yeasty taste... Perhaps a little like a strong dark stout without the alcohol... Guest guest
I was introduced to vegemite in the U.S. by a New Zealander - a bit salty, but very good:) I loved spreading it across the cut tops of onions and baking in a covered baking dish - they were wonderful:) She also used to put a thin layer of it on wheat toast, which was also good:) It's hard to find here - I think I've seen it at World Market on occasion.
