Guest guest
I'm the same. When I was a kid I used to wait until the potatoes were on the stove to boil and then I would run and peel 3 more really fast and toss them in so there would be some leftover.....my Mom never caught on but always wondered why there was such a big pot to mash..............LOL Jiraph Wirpel <wirpel wrote: I like mashed potatoes so much, I like mashed potato in my mashed potatoes! :^) It is my ultimate comfort food. When I was a kid, a small bowl of mashed potato was my favorite after-school snack! I even like mashed sweet potato... ===== It's a deal and I'll give the canned potatoes a try just like you make them for your kids. I first have to see if they have them in the market down the canned veggie isle. Oh, the thin French cut green beans in a can are also good in the center of mashed potatoes. ===== " The cat did not respond. She did not believe in paraphrasing anybody. Guest guest
hehe...my grandmother learned quickly that when it came to me and my sis that a HUGE pot of mashed was necessary... She would say...hey is 10 lbs. enough...and usually have to put in more (not 10 for just just...but we have a large family...and with me and the sis...WHOA did we need lots of potatos) I remember one Easter we went to my prissy " I don't cook " aunt's house and she DIDN'T MAKE MASHED POTATOS!!! I thought my sister was going to impale her with her turkey knife (we are both veggies...I am vegan) now we make our own, especially since we both don't drink cow milk (although she still eats cheese and eggs and such) It was funny though cause my family is kinda unsuportive of our lifestyle (especially mine!) but this thanksgiving I made my lentil loaf and my aunt gobbled it up. She actually admited to wanting to eat " as close to natural as possible " I think I may have to send her some articles or something. Do I smell another convert ~Mel PS I am actually making mashed potatos right now! --- GeminiDragon <thelilacflower wrote: > I'm the same.
