Guest guest
This seems like a good time and place to share a quote I love. Its my " signature " on one of my other e-mail addresses. " We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan. " ~ Irving Townsend ~ so sorry about your cat veronica. i lost a dear cat last year and we had to go through the whole feeding tube thing. it was heartbreaking. ===== " The cat did not respond. She did not believe in paraphrasing anybody. If people pursued this same feline wisdom, there'd be a lot fewer misunderstandings. Guest guest
Thank you so much. I run a rodent rescue and talk about short lives...*very* old age for a mouse is 1.5-2 years. Domesticated rats...my last two girls passed at 3 and 3.5 years which is considered fantastic...most don't live that long. They just have very brief life spans. V. Guest guest
Hi Pam, I am the editor and publisher of a adoption/rescue magazine in my area. (Piedmont Traid area of NC) I will feature different rescue to offer a variety and keep interest with the magazine. In the past I've done all kinds of rehomings. I have several pets that have been rehomed with our family. Most are small exotics or birds. I've met a couple people that do rodent rescue also. Where are you located? Guest guest
Hey! I love your magazine! We do a fair amount of adoptions in Greensboro! I usually pick up your mag at All Pets Considered. Great store with NO animal sales! Guest guest
I just got a pet rat yesterday. I used to raise mice as a kid but never had a rat. OMG he is so sweet natured. He loves to be petted around his face and neck just like a kitty cat! It puts him to sleep. We just love him, but not as much as my kitty Cinnamon loves him, Cinnamon just can't wait to greet that rat! LOL. I put a pic of Lionel in our photos section, I hope this link works. go to the folder that says, " Chanda's photos, and Lionel is the only pic in there. lst Blessings, Chanda Tell me what ya think of Lionel. - Pamela M Luton Tuesday, January 25, 2005 8:41 PM Re: (A little OT) The animals we loved and miss I run a rodent rescue Oh how cool! Guest guest
ya know, kitty cats are adorable, most animals have cute faces, but in my opinion there is no cuter face than the face of a hamster, mouse or rat. it's that perspective when you are looking at them not straight on, but kinda from under so you see that mouth and nose, and when they yawn, awwwwwww!!
