Guest guest
I used to hate onions when I was a kid and would pick them out of anything my mom put them in. I think it was their clear-ness that freaked me out because I didn't beieve a food could be clear. Somehow I made the transition to loving onions and putting them in everything! Guest guest
Onions are great. I like raw onions on sandwiches (red especially). As well, you can mildly sweat them to get rid of some of that sharp/bitterness. And if you really want to have fun, sweat and brown them in oil and a bit of butter for a good amount of time. This is a carmelization process that makes them nice and sweet. These are good. Truth be told, if you burnt onions, I'd hold out my plate with a smile on my face. I think red onions are the worst. I hate touching them even because they leave that awful smell on your hands and it takes forever for it to wash off. Then again, I loathe orange juice too...it's bitter and awful, so maybe it's just some weird genetic thing. Veronica
Guest guest
ok ok I have had enough, one more bad word about my onions and I will beat you with a wet noodle!!!! How in the world can you hate orange juice? (fruit of the Gods) have you tried fresh squeezed? are you using that awful wawa brand or something comparable? Guest guest
No worries, Chanda - I've got your back! Onion and garlic are great and even better combined. Orange juice - so refreshing, i love it. And I honestly think upon my first gulp every time, " this is the best thing ever " . Every time! I'll be working in the dungeon on the perfect combination to make a garlic and onion spray to ward off those anti-onionites!! Guest guest
As with getting garlic smell off your hands, rub your hands on stainless steel, such as your faucet (if it is ss). This will remove the smell, as soap will not. Some places sell a stainless steel bar of " soap " , but what a waste when your faucet is ss.
