Guest guest
Hi Chanda. Have you ever shared your cucumber salad recipe here? If not i would love to see it. i love cucumbers but find that i have to cut all the seeds out to be able to digest them well. There are some seed-free varieties out there, but they are more expensive. ~ pt ~ With all your science can you tell how it is, and whence it is, that light comes into the soul? ~ Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , " Chanda/Maria " < puterwitch@c...> wrote: > Vidalia onions are great in cucumber salad, the ONLY onion I would ever put in my cucumber salad ) > Blessings, > Chanda
Guest guest
Hi well what I do is, you better believe it! get those seeds out. I cut the cucumber lengthwise and take a spoon and gouge them out, they come out easily, like my husband's eyes, nah just kiddin' Then I slice them very very thin, as thin as I can get them.(slices will all be half of a circle of course) , now, I never measured, so just adjust until it looks right, I use half mayo, half sour cream, about a tablespoon or so of vinegar, or balsamic vinegar, whatever I have, and a ton of sugar. If I have them I add some vidalias, sliced very very thin as well. It really rocks. If I have the vidalias I have to add them to just mine and eyeless hubby's cause the kids don't like it that way.
