Guest guest
Cheese and tomato... period. :^) Put a slice or three of tomato into a grilled cheese sandwich. ===== yeah goes great with tomato, I always make stewed tomatoes with it ) ===== My mother made a mac and cheese that my father adored. I was a kid; I didn;'t know there was any other mac and cheese. In a dutch oven type pan, she baked a mixture of (already boiled) elbow pasta, grated chedar cheese, and a can of tomato paste. She cooked it until the top edge was darkened and crispy. " The cat did not respond. She did not believe in paraphrasing anybody. If people pursued this same feline wisdom, there'd be a lot fewer misunderstandings. Guest guest
I look forward to the next month or so when I can start picking fresh basil from the garden and add it to grilled cheese sandwiches. I also like to add a little mint, spearmint or peppermint, maybe some chopped up chives and maybe a little fresh marjoram, oregano and even some tarragon. I like sandwiches that are herbal adventures. ;<) Gary > Cheese and tomato... period. :^) > > Put a slice or three of tomato into a grilled cheese > sandwich. > ==

Guest guest
wow, all of those variations sound great. Ya know, I cook alot with herbs but when i make a sandwich it rarele crosses my mind to sprinkle on some herbs. I will need to be more creative and intentional with my herbs. Last year I made lots of homemade pesto, even turned my dad onto basil. But, it will be alot longer of a wait for my basil.
