Guest guest
Well, as you can see from my posts-in-a-row....I'm back. I took Friday off and then have been nonstop at work and really busy at home, too. We've had thunder storms all week which has kept me from continuing my gardening. We're going to have our last frost this weekend, so soon we can get our starts in. I'm really looking forward to having a big veggie garden this year. I love going out to the garden and harvesting my dinner. James was gone all last week, back to Oregon to get the rest of our things from the house. We finally got that closed; although it's not quite finished due to the buyer still owing us money. It's been a long drawn out drama and the stress has really taken a toll on me. I've gained weight, I've lost my interest in cooking, I've been depressed. The horse riding and hanging out with my sister on a regular basis (which both are new to me) has been very helpful in keeping me sane. I think now both James and I need to go through a cleansing ritual to rid ourselves of the negative energy that encompassed us. I have really enjoyed the conversations on this group. And James gets to enjoy dinner when I bring home a recipe to try out! Since I rejoined, the tone of this group has been so full of love and support. (I guess I must be feeling close to you all since I'm spilling myself out right now!) Anyway, just taking a moment to thank all of you for the enjoyable company here, the wonderful recipes, the insightful discussions and the knowledgeable assistance. Blessings, Denise SW Iowa

Moving can be so stressful. Hang in there. (((hugs))) Just keep in mind that this too shall pass. Your move to Iowa was such a big step. Whe i read your posts about all you have been through this past year and how you are still able to help and encourage others via this list with recipes and advice, i really admire your style. i know you can do anything you put your mind to. > The horse riding and hanging out with my sister on a regular basis > (which both are new to me) has been very helpful in keeping me sane. > I think now both James and I need to go through a cleansing ritual to > rid ourselves of the negative energy that encompassed us. ~ Great idea; and how fun that you get to go riding and spend time with your family now. > I have really enjoyed the conversations on this group. Guest guest
Denise, take care of yourself. I agree, a cleansing ritual may be just what you need! I hope the storms calm soon so you can get to your gardening. I planted nothing this year because we were supposed to move in July... now we find we'll be moving in early October instead, so I might get a few things put in my little balcony garden. The herbs are still going strong at least! I hope the cleansing and the destressing work out for you - you need to get your cookin' groove back! :-) Cooking is nourishing for the body *and* the soul, when you are able to put your mind into the moment... *hugs* Amy
