Guest guest
I get the Giovanni champoo and conditioner for $4.00 a bottle at the vitamin store by me. They last a long time too. I find the other products at Whole Foods and not too bad in price, they always have a sale on. Maybe they sell in your area somewhere and you can price them in a shop. Might be a lot cheaper that way. ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: i checked the site. They look mighty fancy and $$$. *lol* Nice though. I love their hair care products. Click around and ther's an area all about Giovanni the man that created the products. Hope this helps a little bit...Donna

We don't even have a Whole Foods or Wild Oats here. i am sure i can find some other product we will like with the cruelty-free label at Fred Meyers though. i am just bummed with the Aussie change. ~ pt ~ The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. ~Robert Louis Stevenson, novelist, essayist, and poet(1850-1894)
Guest guest
I better turn on the light. Opps! I meant shampoo not champoo.LOL Maybe champoo would work on washing chimps....hehehe Yes, we want to see things change for the positive and not sell out to companies that continue to test, etc. I'm going to print and give your eecipe to my sister for the curried couscous, she eats curry about 3 times a week. Happy Friday tomorrow. I baked up a storm today. Guest guest
pt - I remember those bathrobe ads...I was wondering if perhaps it was a different product, I guess it was in some ways?! Bummer... Do you have Trader Joe's near you? I got a cruelty free shampoo that seems just fine and it was only $2 a bottle - I looked at my hair & it looks alright, my hubby just shrugged when I polled him... Fred Meyer's has a pretty good selection - they have that Nature's First brand, or something like that, big bottle pretty inexpensive. The couscous sounds interesting, my oldest kiddo loves faco bacos...may have to give it a try! m
Guest guest
PT - Fred Meyer carries Nature's Gate shampoo and conditioner. Look in the vitamin/health HABA aisle. I think they carry other natural brands, too, but can't remember what those are. I sure miss Fred Meyer. Guest guest
To all, First time poster here, Happy Earth Day!!! Anyway, my wife and I use products from Kiss My Face (kissmyface.com), Tom's of Maine (tomsofmaine.com) and J/A/S/O/N, which are all available at our local Ralphs (near San Diego). However, Henry's and Whole Foods (further away from home) have much more extensive inventory. And Trader Joes has quality health & beauty stuff too. All animal testing / product free... Anyway, I just today received a box from Kiss My Face, who, if you get on their e-mail list, have inventory clearing sales every couple of months. We stock up on soap, shampoo and body lotions then. Regardless, even with shipping, shampoo runs about $4 a bottle, soap about $3 each, and shaving lotion about $4. Great stuff... Just my $0.02... Guest guest
Big lots often carries a cruelty free and vegan brand of bath products that are quite good and inexpensive (like $1.50 for a huge bottle of shampoo--very handy for those on a budget.) Oh and I love Aubrey Organics Midnight Rose scent.
