Guest guest
hi chanda, i posted the thai bubble tea recipe. i don't think bubble tea is necessarily a thai thing (although people might enjoy it there?), the recipe has " thai " in the title because it's made using thai tea. bubble tea originated in taiwan in the early 1980's. hopefully, this clears things up for you. susie , " Maria/Chanda " <puterwitch@c...> wrote: > lol here is the link http://importfood.com/bubbletea.html > I thought it was you who was talking about the bubble tea recently. I never tried it, and funny, never knew it was a Thai thing and I was raised on a lot of Thai stuff with Thai people. I guess they didn't like it so they never made it so I never saw it, LOL. > Hugz, > Chanda

Guest guest
i actually just ordered tapioca pearls from this site last week (and i got a really cool thai granite mortar and pestle too, which i love!)and their prices are decent. dang, i should have got the wide bubble tea straws. lol. do you have an asian market near you chanda? you could probably find all the ingredients there and wouldn't have to pay the shipping and handling. we don't have an asian market where i live. i love thai tea too, except that it's orange! i'm happy with the whole transaction with importfood.com take care, susie --- Maria/Chanda <puterwitch wrote: > ahhh OK, thanks Suzie. Guest guest
Chanda, I don't know if you are downtown or where...but I know there is a really big Asian market downtown. Not sure where, but I am going there with a cooking-type tour of Chinatown 2 Saturdays from now so I guess I will find out then. There is also a huge Asian market in Cheltenham, where I go on a regular basis. I have never looked specifically for bubble tea stuff, but they are really loaded with all kinds of stuff...seaweed, noodles, cheap tofu, etc. That is on Old York Rd. and Cheltenham Aves.
