Last night I cooked with seitan for the first time and

I LOVED it!! I am so happy I found such a great meat

substitute. I haven't acquired a taste yet for tempeh

(guess I need a really good recipe), but the seitan

was great.

I tried this recipe for Sweet and Sour Seitan:

http://vegweb.com/recipes/subs/3940.shtml .

Does anyone in Philly use seitan? I got mine in the

strips from Whole Foods but they were kinda expensive.

I don't know if there's somewhere I can get it

cheaper...the tofu size tubs there are like $4.

Is there a Whole Foods out there? I know there must be

other places besides there. There is a Whole Foods in

Jenkintown on the Fairway, which is next to Trader

Joe's.

no whole foods here. We do have Bell's market, which ismainly a Russian food

market, and they have lots of organic things. If at all possible I buy my milk

there. It's a lot more expensive but it claims to be organic.

Blessings,

Chanda

PS I don't drink the milk, now I drink soy and am gonna try rice but the kids

and hubby do. :o)
