Guest guest
This recipe is a long-time family favorite; my grandmother passed it along to me. Perfect end to a light summer meal. *s* Rhubarb Snack Cake 1 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 eggs 1/3 cup milk 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. allspice 1/4 tsp. salt 2 cups chopped rhubarb Cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in eggs and milk. Stir in the dry ingredients. Fold in the chopped rhubarb. Spread in a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle the top with a dusting of cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350û for 35 minutes. ~ pt ~ Summer! Summer! The milk of the calves, And ourselves brought the summer with us, The yellow summer, and the white daisy, And ourselves brought the summer with us. ~ Irish May Song
