I freeze bottles of water, and put those in my cooler.

They help keep the cooler cool for longer... and, as

they melt, are a refreshing drink.

I bring small boxes of soy milk, so I don't have to

worry about rerigeration after opening, and cereal. I

also bring bread, and a jar of peanut butter.

In the summer, on route, I look for roadside produce

for sale by farmers and farmers markets.

=====

I have trays that make ice cubes that drop into

bottled water so it stays cold for a long time. Have

you seen those ice cube trays?

Carrots, peanut butter, peanut butter whole wheat pretzels, cereal, the

little boxes of soy milk mentioned, granola bars, fat free chips (for

junk food cravings), sunflower seeds, nuts, apples, pears, cans of fruit,

tea, those instant noodle cups, instant oatmeal, muffins or bread, whole

grain crackers, hummus, juice, grapefruit...

stop at grocery stores for salad bars, or subway, or, if we must taco bell.

Used to stop for the BK veggie, but they added egg. Drag!

Breakfast in the hotel room is always easiest for me. Bring some bowls and

spoons!

If you aren't driving, you should bring pistachios. (it might be hard to drive

and eat them since they have to be shelled) They aren't the greatest for you fat

wise, but to me they taste better than any junk food! The protien is another

plus. Just be sure to bring a nut cracker or one of those things used for

opening crabs (bleh!).
