Guest guest
Thanks! Sometimes it seems goofy to ask easy questions ( I know I shouldn't think so given I tell me students to ask if they don't know *smiles*); however not being a big veggie eater until the last 6 weeks and totally not likign to try new stuff if I have to pay for it LOL This is all new! So thanks you guys and gals for all the help! Ya'll are so sweet Love ya! J Lyn GeminiDragon <thelilacflower wrote: http://www.healthrecipes.com/textured_vegetable_protein.htm This explains TVP. The veggie burgers and hot dogs are a form of TVP but they are ready made to heat and serve. Lentils are about the size of dried green split peas. They are a pulse and sold in the area of the market that sells dried bagged beans. Used to make soups, and many different dishes. They make a wonderful loaf also. Cook in about 40 minutes. I have no idea what a quinaro is. I have never heard the word. Did we talk about it in the group? Do you mean the grain quinoa? No question is dumb, never feel that way..Happy Evening. hope this is some help to you,Donna J Lyn <poet_atrabilious wrote: Ok maybe I am just goofy. But I have a few simple questions. 1) What is the difference between textured veggie protien and the fake meats? 2) What is a lentil? 3) What is quinaro? (spelling??) Write. Guest guest
You're so welcome. We are happy to help you. Just try simple to make dishes first. Introduce yourself to a new veggie often. Steam it, put on rice, in your favorite sauce. If you find a veggie you really like let us know and we will give you recipe ideas. My sister would never touch spinach until I made her spaghetti with fresh spinach in the sauce. She wouldn't eat carrots or peas either until I grated the carrots and tossed some frozen peas in with her rice as it cooked.................Smile on your face, Donna J Lyn <poet_atrabilious wrote:Thanks!
