Its from " The Complete Book of Spices " 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon cloves 1 tablespoon cumin seeds 1 tablespoon black cardamom seeds Mix all the spices together. Stored in an airtight jar, the blend will keep for 3 to 4 months. Sprinkle into rice dishes or pasta dishes.
Guest guest
This sounds like an interesting spice mix, AJ. i have a question though. Do you grind them together first or do you leave the seeds whole? ~ pt ~ One of the many gifts that nature offers us is a clear demonstration of the interdependence between all living things. ~ Daily OM ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " AJ " <coolcook wrote: > > Char Masala > > I keep this in the cupboad. > Its from " The Complete Book of Spices " > > 1 tablespoon cinnamon > 1 tablespoon cloves > 1 tablespoon cumin seeds > 1 tablespoon black cardamom seeds > > Mix all the spices together. > Stored in an airtight jar, the blend will keep for 3 to 4 months. > Sprinkle into rice dishes or pasta dishes. > >
Guest guest
You can wrap in a cheese cloth and leave whole or grind, I grind I found the flavor is better that way.
