Char Masala

 

I keep this in the cupboad.

Its from " The Complete Book of Spices "

 

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon cloves

1 tablespoon cumin seeds

1 tablespoon black cardamom seeds

 

Mix all the spices together.

Stored in an airtight jar, the blend will keep for 3 to 4 months.

Sprinkle into rice dishes or pasta dishes.

This sounds like an interesting spice mix, AJ.

i have a question though. Do you grind them

together first or do you leave the seeds whole?

You can wrap in a cheese cloth and leave whole or grind, I grind I found the

flavor is better that way.
