Q: Do you pan roast the dals like spices only longer? How do you know

they are finished roasting? Guru

 

A: Its the same as spices Guru. You know by the smell!!! If they burn

you can tell. You want the bengal gram brown but not black. Go for a

chestnutty color. Chupa
