Guest guest
Seems when I pass an area of the market with fruit in jars, it brings back memories of my Grandmother. Watermelon reminds me of hot summer days growing up. Guest guest
I know what you mean. Now when the fruit stands and Farmer's Markets open up, I shop there a lot....it takes me back to Grandma and Grandpa's farm and their wonderful garden, orchard and root cellar full of goodies. Way back then, everything was home grown, home canned and home pickled. I carried on the same tradition with my children, while they were growing up. They still rave about my home canned fruits, vegetables, juices, jams, jellies and pickles. Joanie
Guest guest
Fake meats tend to remind me of cookouts we had as a kid, and picnics at the part. Of course back then it was real meat, but that doesn't mean that the faux stuff can't bring the same nostalgia. :-) Mashed potatoes and rolls remind me of the picnics too. :-) Different veggies do different things too :-) Man, sometimes I wish I was at those young ages again, I've grown up too fast, LOL. But, as I say, never resent growing older. It's a privelege denied to many... ***Sara***
