I'm sure it is very good but so are apples, pears, plums, etc. If you need vitamin A, then eat yellow fruits and veggies. Root veggies have lots of minerals and are best to eat during the winter and colder months. Green things grow above the ground so are more " airy " . They are best to eat in cooler months. > green foods are best for the nerves. Blue foods are best for relaxation. Red foods are best to get energy. However, if one tends to be hyperactive or angry etc. , then red foods are the worst. i.e. If you get a lot of cold sores or canker sores, then lay off tomatoes and beets. > > GB > " I've been imitated so well, I've > heard people copy my mistakes. Guest guest
Cheryl, These foods act in a different manner than allergies to foods. I like tomatoes too. However, it is a 'hot " food. Citric acid causes it. The other nightshades are not as " hot " . Some people do very well with these. Red foods - energy and increase the blood. If someone has a rash or excessive menstruating, cut down on red foods. Green foods - nerves (Celery is probably the best food for the nerves) blue foods - relaxation Yellow and some orange foods - digestive tract (Usually the best introduction to foods to give to a baby are bananas and yams. They digest easy and have Vitamin A, which is good for the mucous membranes) Apricots would probably go in the red food category and orange category. Guest guest
After surgery to remove 16 polyps, some years ago. I was instructed to eat the following foods everyday: Tomatoes, fresh, or canned V-8 juice and/or tomato juice Grapes, fresh or juiced Cranberries, fresh, dried or juiced Apples, cooked and fresh Now after 8 years, my tests are coming back negative. I personally believe in using foods to bolster and boost one's good health. Joanie
Guest guest
I completely agree. I'm always amazed at the power of eating well when it comes to your health. I was just speaking with someone at work who works exclusively with diabetic patients. Through diet, they were able to see 8 people with mild diabetes completely overcome it, by eating the right foods. I think becoming a vegetarian is another excellent way to start on the path of eating healthy.
