Guest guest
The frozen pizza burritos at my grocery store (I can't think of the brand) have TVP in them. Could this be the " meat " ? April , RhymeMaster0313 wrote: Me and my best friend were at the grocery store once time, and we came across some burrito type things. The pizza ones looked great, so I got two of them, and one bean and cheese. She got some Hot Pockets. Well, I made a pizza burrito, ate it, no prob, right? Well, the next day, she ate the other pizza burrito - AND DISCOVERED TINY BITS OF MEAT IN IT. What a wonderful surprise. At least I had the bean and cheese one for back-up... ***Sara***
Guest guest
Oh man, I had to deliver a car for the boss and I stopped at a taco stand and told the girl I wanted a vegi burrito to go. I jump in the car and while I was driving I took a bit and the whole burrito was chopped onions and cilantro and I smelled up the guys car with that thing. Guest guest
I usually order a big salad with flour tortillas on the side. Make my own burritos that way. Joanie
Guest guest
Hi! I'm new, too. My name is Joyce. My husband and I have been lacto- ovo vegetarians for about a year. My sister and her family (husband and three kids) have been vegan for about four years now. She is the reason I had to add to this topic. Several years ago when she was first trying to cook vegetarian she made a shephard's pie. I'm not sure what the ingredients were, but it turned out to be entirely grey in color and tasted like a combination of dirt and cardboard. We ended up having peanut butter sandwiches for dinner. However, I'm pleased to say her vegan meals are quite fabulous! Also, my husband and I went to an empanada (they're sort of like Spanish hot pockets) place in our neighborhood for some of their veggie empanadas. Because it was going to be a long wait, the waiter brought us some samples to snack on. We, of course, asked what kind they were and he said beef. When we explained that we don't eat meat, he got a blank look on his face and said, " so, does that mean you want chicken. " Haha. I'm really enjoying this group! Hope everyone has a great weekend, Joyce
