Hi Everyone...

 

Hi everybody. I've joined the group a little while ago, but I haven't

posted an intro or anything yet. My name is Eiko, and I'm ready to

take the plunge and become a vegetarian. I had been putting off

becoming a vegetarian because it seemed very hard to do since my

family would think it was very radical, and my husband swears he needs

meat at all his meals. But...my 10 year old daughter inspired me. We

were driving by a feild of black cows, and she said that she felt bad

that the cows were going to be killed and eaten. She kept talking

about it all night. I talked to her about it, and she said that the

one thing that she will miss is chicken wings if she became a

vegetarian. Well, I'm sure I can come up with a vegetarian substitute

for that....I thought that I better jump on this while I had the

chance! I don't know if she will stick with it, but I figure if we

did it together, it would be easier. If any of you have any advice,

it would be welcomed.

Joanie, I love it. My mom never had a sign like that, but you can be

sure that's how it was with ten kids.
