A co-worker had a small (1.7 oz.) jar of moisturizer on her desk and she told me she paid.....$267.00 for it. This was a bargain, she said, as it's usually $350.00. The large size retails for over $600.00. Now I have not led a sheltered life when it comes to beauty products, but you could have scraped me up off the floor. EVOO sounds good to me! A gallon could last a lifetime. LOL TM
Guest guest
Here's another added note. I'm a heart patient of 18 years, having survived 9 heart attacks. I've used nothing but extra virgin olive oil in all that time. Olive oil cleans out the buildup plaque in the blood stream that supplies the whole body, including the heart. Canola is the next healthiest oil, however, it does not clean the plaque out of the aorta or blood vessels. Joanie
Guest guest
I buy EVOO by the gallon all the time. I use it for everything. For Celiac Sprue patients please buy only Italian Olive Oil. American produced olive oils can contain added ingredients that are not pure and can be classifed as contaminants. Joanie
Guest guest
Several times when I have spotted senior citizen women with beautiful glowing and very young looking skin, I have asked them what their secret was, and it has always been that they have used Pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil on their whole body always. It made such an impression on me and it way cheaper than all those moisturizers out there on the market, that I decided to give it a try. Wow the results are remarkable. My skin already looks younger and glows. My feet are so soft now from putting it on them and then putting on my sock immediately afterwards. I've always had oily skin, so I was reluctant to try it on my face, fearing I would have an outbreak of pimples as most moisturizes still do even at my 40's something age. Welllllll.... low and behold about a month I decided to go ahead and try it on my face too and believe it or not, no pimples at all and my face feels and looks better than it has in a very long time..... Just thought some of you out there might be interested in trying this. Enjoy, Judy
Guest guest
That's actually what the ancient Greeks used to use in order to bathe themselves, so it doesn't surprise me. This beauty secret has been around for a while, just hidden nowadays. Guest guest
Do you just put pure EVOO on your face and rub it in as a lotion? Thanks! Guest guest
I am a wood worker and the wood draws all of the moisture out of your hands which makes them extremely rough on soft skin. I use hemp oil lotion made by Gardens Gate to keep my hand soft. Have also used evoo on my hands when the hemp oil is not available. have a great day I got to get back to work. enjoy Calvin Weeks in Maine > In a message dated 4/23/06 10:43:15 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > jtwigg writes: > > > It made such an impression on me and it way cheaper than all those > > moisturizers out there on the market > > The prices of some products can be astounding! Guest guest
LOL I think I would of gasped also. That is rediculous price to charge for anything. Yes a gallon would last forever. I keep an 8 bottle in my bathroom to put on damp skin right out of the shower. It seals in the moisture that way. My skin feels so good since I have been using it all over. Guest guest
Olive oil is also great for diaper rash! The zinc oxide in most " effective " diaper rash creams can sting and/or burn. But olive oil works wonders and is antimicrobial (sp) , plus you get the added benefit of knowing you're not using any chemicals on your baby. When my neice came to stay w/ us last year and had lice, we also learned that olive oil was great for that (geez!). I covered her hair/scalp w/ olive oil mixed w/ a few drops of tea tree oil and it worked great! --Stacee
