Whether it be knitting, rubberstamping, yoga, a nap, a nice walk with the dog, whatever. Don't get me wrong, I love them all dearly, but a little alone time would go a long way!! My sister usually makes dinner for my mom and I (and everyone that comes along, 2 kids, brother, and dog) but its non veg except for the salad) and the yummy Harry and David chutney she serves with crackers and cream cheese (must learn how to make this). I am winding my way more and more to being full fledged vegetarian. Maybe I'll bring a dish even though she always tells me not to, dinner is her treat to us. Or at least some artichoke hearts, kalamati olives, and baby corn for the kids. (who always get plenty to eat, but Sanna is pretty vegetarian as well, and Lily doesn't eat much meat either). We had a delish eggplant parmesan last night, with tomato sauce and mozarella, Lily said 'what is this stuff?' and I said 'its eggplant, remember you loved it last time you had it.' She slurped it down, had 3rds, as well with the peas. Sorry for the rambling post....with a raging migrant its tough to concentrate today. Guest guest
AmyF -- sounds like you need a break! :-) Your dinner sounds like a fun time, although sorry there isn't more veg stuff. It also sounds like your kids eat amazing things - artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, and baby corn?:-) And totally not to pick on you, but this typo made me laugh! :-) > with a raging migrant Those dang migraines really throw me too. I hope it goes away quickly.

" ~~ You are right, MD is right around the corner, but first we got to celebrate May Day [the other MD]. *lol* i'll post one of my favorite May Day recipes in my next post. Oh, and don't forget the Cinco de Mayo ~ did i spell that right? We have to share our best Mexi dishes for that day, too. But back to Mother's Day... i celebrate each year by going to the annual Mother's Day Pow Wow here in the park. i love to listen to the drums and watch the dancers; might do a bit of dancing myself. As far as food goes, i will just pack myself a lunch in my cooler and have a picnic there. My dh and the kids will probably either fix dinner for me later in the evening or take me out for veggie sushi. No cookin', washin', worryin', or whatever'n for me on that day. ~ pt ~ Follow your bliss.
