Guest guest
Does anyone use peanut oil? If so will the food taste like peanuts? I picked up the wrong oil and noticed it last night when I was unpacking groceries. I really don't want to drive back to the store but I also don't want peanut flavoted fried potatoes either. Guest guest
Peanut Oil is the preferred oil (for most people) for frying. Peanut oil doesn't make food taste like peanuts, just like vegetable oil doesn't make food taste like vegetables. I use peanut oil for french fries, and vegetable oil for dough-nuts (that's pretty much all I really use oil for). Peanut Oil is what " they " recommend for deep fryers. How are you heating the oil? " ~~ i use peanut oil. It is very good, and good for you. It sure never flavors any of my stir-fries with a peanut taste, or any other food recipe i use it in. It is truly benign. Guest guest
Penut Oils is idealy the oil to use since it has the highest smoke point (the least likely oil to catch on fire)
