Guest guest
Bron: This is a GREAT list. Thank you (and thank everyone) for making it. I love the Soy milk, too, and no, never tried to make my own. I don't like anything in cans, though. I'll certainly add the organic cold cereal, also. No, I haven't gone yet. Keep putting it off.. , southernflower wrote: > I am 'almost' vegan, working on getting there totally; I recently bought some Blue Bell banana pudding icecream and can't STAND IT...ugh! And can't BELIEVE I can't stand it either...LOL.
Guest guest
I'm so glad you liked it. :>) It was my grocery list for the next two weeks, actually! I want to learn to make my own soymilk too, but have to wait to get a machine...I mean, to buy one. My dh and I also have a popcorn popper and a small tabletop grill on the 'want to buy' list. Okay, so if you don't like anything in cans, just buy your black beans, pintos and chickpeas dry. And of course, buy spring water too, for drinking and cooking. Unless you already have a water purifier like PUR...that's another thing that's on our " to buy " list. If I give you the recipes, would that help you not to put off going shopping? You get almost instant results then, checking off the ingredients. That's what I have started doing. Check the cookbook, find the recipes we like/love/rave over, write the recipe name and page number down on the right side of the paper; and then on the left side, write down the ingredients for each recipe. And then when I go to the store, and buy each item, I write thru it on the paper. CHECK! <g> Done! On 5/9/06, Boxwood Studios <techfiddle wrote: > > Bron: This is a GREAT list. I had butter bean soup, spinach salad, brown rice, and strawberries & soy milk today. It's amazing how full you can get on this stuff. The trick is to break the addiction to sugar/salt/fat/fast foods. Don't you love butter beans? I didn't put any butter on them..I don't know what you call them in other parts of the country. They were good cooked just with a little salt, pepper, a chopped onion and some mexican spices. I was worried my roommate would come in and drop some dead animal in them, but they hasn't done that yet. I don't make a big deal about being a vegetarian; people don't usually like it and I don't feel like fighting. Connie
