Guest guest
I have wanted to ask this question forever....what would be a good substitute for miso??? These burgers, for example, sound so good to me, but I get violently ill from whatever is in miso and tempeh. The last time I tried tempeh scared me enough that I won't try it again. Thanks for any ideas... Jeanne >Message 23 > " Jade Barrett " jzbarrett > Fri May 12, 2006 8:05am(PDT) >Millet-Miso Burgers > > > Millet-Miso Burgers > (makes 6-8 Burgers) > > 1/4 LB. Guest guest
Hi Jeanne, Maybe garbanzo beans/chickpeas mashed to a paste without any added liquid? Would that be thick enough, do you think? You might lose a little of the salty miso taste but maybe could get that back with some liquid aminos or soy sauce? These do sound good; I want to try them too. Guest guest
What about some mayo? I would think it would work in this recipe? Guest guest
Or for a little nutty addition maybe a little nut butter like almond or peanut and a touch of soy sauce mixed together. I think we are really going to doctor these burgers up. Donna --- strayfeather1 <otherbox2001 wrote: > Hi Jeanne, > Maybe garbanzo beans/chickpeas mashed to a paste > without any added > liquid?
