Guest guest
I am blessed with good genes... my whole family is skinny and tall. However, we eat like a million times a day. I am a true believer in eating every two hours to keep your metabolism up. I believe that eating healthy is a huge part maintaining weight but the " larger " vegans and vegetarians that I know only eat like twice a day and tend to eat ginormous portions. I live by the Lord of the Rings hobbit method: 1st breakfast, 2nd breakfast, etc. :-) I usually eat breakfast, a 10-11am snack, lunch at 12:30, a three pm snack, 5:30pm snack (to hold me over while I am cooking), and dinner at like 7:30 or 8pm. I absolutely do not exercise (don't take this as advice though, everyone should exercise) but my metabolism is sky high. I have also had carnivorous friends who lost a ton of weight by eating healthier and more frequently. One friend lost 60 pounds in a year. Guest guest
-Whitney, I am far from tall and skinny but I am happy with my weight. I never diet and I eat like you do and have for many years. Actually I do not own scales and have no idea how much I weigh. I just know by looking, what size clothes to buy. Size medium thrift store bargains. LOL.. I too eat something every couple of hours throughout the day. It is a challenge to eat protein, fruit, veggies, etc. and to drink lots of juices and water. I seldom eat anything after 4 PM. and I don't 'eat out' unless I have to. I think my health tells my success story. I am 65 and take no medications for anything. No I don't plan on living forever but I hope to feel good most of the time while I am here. Keep up the good work Smiles and hugs Deanna -- In , whitney <starrypryncess wrote: > > I am blessed with good genes... my whole family is > skinny and tall. This has nothing to do with it. Calories are calories. Pastries, chips, soda, most cheeses, oils, nuts, lots of the junk foods, ice cream amd many more items are all vegetarian and contain calories.
