Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who said such nice things about my blog. I'm blushing!! The easiest way to find a veg friendly dietition is to log into ADA's website http://www.eatright.org/cps/rde/xchg/ada/hs.xsl/index.html and click on the find a nutrition professional link in the upper right hand portion of the screen. You go through a bit of legal mumbo jumbo but then you can put in your zip code, how far you're willing to travel and choose vegetarian nutrition as a specialty. The list you get will include Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians Registered (DTR). Both sit for a registration exam, both are required to do continuing education. Who can better serve your needs depends on how much medical " stuff " you have going on. DTR's can be more than capable of counseling for basic weight loss/management or how to eat a healthy veg/vegan diet. I'm a DTR and I do both in my community. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Denise, I'm so glad, especially about the insurance. Sometimes that's the most challenging part.
